Round Two... Fight!

Lots has happened since the last post, and I've realised that the longer I wait to make a post the more stuff happens. In that regards, though, I have realised that even though more is happening, I should probably keep this post shorter for everyone's sanity. But where do I begin? I mean, I feel like entire lifetimes have occurred, and it's probably not a stretch.
So, back in June I finally got a job! It wasn't anything spectacular, but it brought it a few cash dollars. However, it also came with a schedule that made streaming slightly difficult, so the summer was spent mostly working. Towards the end of the summer I was kind of stressed to the max and things were just all around not good, so I made the decision to move BACK to Edmonton at the beginning of September. Yeah, it had only been a year, but it just wasn't working. So I packed it all in, secured a job with a semi-previous employer, and took refuge at my mother's place.
Since I've been back I've been keeping busy. Work has been busy, but at least I'm able to start saving again. I started working with another cadet unit again, which was a big step after the last couple of years. Bad internet has made streaming very difficult. I'm hoping that the new year brings a bit of stability, but I don't anticipate much settling until the summer - I'm hoping by June I'll be able to get my own place again with real internet and my stuff won't be packed into a storage unit... but for now I'll survive. The holidays should bring a little bit of reprieve and we'll start the new year hopefully on the right foot.
That's a lot of words to say that I'm still alive, and thank you all for hanging with me while I get my life in order. I'm doing what I can to keep anime nights and book club running, and with any luck we'll still get a chance to finish Octopath Traveler by the end of the year. Stay safe, and hopefully it won't take me seven months to make another update!

I won't lie - April was not kind to my mental health. It had its highs, but it most certainly had its lows. To say it was a roller coaster of emotion is probably an understatement.
But April is over and now May is here. What is it they say? April showers bring May flowers? I guess we'll see if weathering the downpour of April will make us stronger for May. There's definitely a lot of potential this month, but the cynic in me says that potential is another word for "uncertainty". [...]

Funny how things work out. After the last post I had decided to compile a list of future topics to discuss here, and even started writing on one of them! The reason being is that when I sit down to write, that's often when my mind goes blank. I could have all of these ideas when I'm driving around the city or in the middle of stream, but when I sit down to actually type the words? Nothing.
Fast-forward to like two weeks since the last post (aka today). Oops. Things have just been so hectic (in both good and bad) that writing just hasn't been a priority. I haven't been focused, or I haven't had enough consecutive minutes to string together a full sentence in print. So here I am, feeling bad for myself, and writing about how I can't write. Funny how things work. [...]
